Back to the Lab: Google Suggest

So Alex contacted me today about adding the ability of google suggest to his site, asking if I had any resources. I didn\’t really, so I googled for a bit, but nothing all that good came up… So instead, I asked him if he wanted to race.

That was 3:51.

By 4:11, I linked him up with this: www.rinsefirst.com

A few bugs were still in it, but for the most part, working. Not fancy. Not special, but works if you want to search for the title of a post (assumes left only matching, unlike the search at the top of this page.)

Wanna see the code for yourself?

www.rinsefirst.com

That was enough in the labs today. Maybe I\’ll put this feature on my next site. Thanks Alex for giving me something to do other than work on whatever it was I was working on before that…

I did indeed lose the race. However, I did manage to get another LiveSearch version installed, using the very simple Wiki that is supplied with the LiveSearch code.
