To Sell or Not To Sell

The last 24 hours for whatever reason, have been a lot of looking at the past. Looking at past blog posts of myself. Looking at past blog posts of others. All in all, it’s been a rather enjoyable trip into a rather enjoyable time of my life. It’s made me realize a few things about my life that I would like to get back.

For example, there was a time when I average going out 3 to 4 times a week. Right now, I’m lucky if I go out once.

So last night, I went with Richard to go have dinner at TGIF’s (where Amber works). We had a great time (at least I did) talking mostly business stuff. I brought along the copy of Rinsefirst that I have (the one that there is a picture of in an earlier post). The recurring theme is this: People want me to sell it, or at least print off copies and give them away.

I hesitate to do this for a few reasons:

  • There is a lot of information in the first 1000 posts about me, that most people will never take the time to read online. The reason, just to hard to do. It’s surprising though how quickly you can pick up a book and just jump to a post and be engaged in it… Very strange. I’m not sure I like knowing that people are reading into my past.
  • The cost causing low demand… It would cost roughly $25.00 to get one for yourself (the thing is like 657 pages long).
  • Uneditted – There’s no way I could take the time to edit the book more than I already have. Basically, what I’m saying is, some posts have random UTF-8 characters. Others don’t display their intended message. On the whole, most of them are just fine, it’s just a few random things here and there.

So here’s what I’m going to do. I will take the time to put a decent cover on the thing, and put it up here for sale, if the readers of this site can convince me that it’s worth my time. That said, vote in the poll below, and leave a comment if you think it’s something worth while. Otherwise… Well there is no otherwise.

And to think… that's JUST the first 1000 posts… There's close to 250 since then. I think it would be pretty cool if I could have book 2 ready in time for next year, but that would mean an average of like 3 posts a day over the next year… I just don't think I'm that interesting, or creative.

Oh you're just being hard on yourself. BTW your timestamps are off for comments.

Sheesh dude, I never knew your ramblings, musings, and informative banter could lead to a 657 page book. It’s been an interesting half-decade to say the least.

Justin. I would say sell it. I would buy it if I had money. Good luck kind sir.
