Ubuntu… I’m going to learn Ubuntu?

It’s been a day or two since I posted a multimedia post… so I figure today might be a good day to do so.

It seems I’m going to have *some* free time this weekend. Not much mind you, I’ve got a list a mile long of code to write… Projects around the house I should complete. DnD events to plan and organize. There’s always plenty to do… But I do think if I find some time to do something for myself, I might give Ubuntu 10 (LTS) a whirl.

I don’t see myself making the switch to be 100% Linux. Nothing against it, but the software I use on a daily basis (although there many be equivalents which are sometimes better on Ubuntu) is on my PC. I’ve got my workflows. I’ve got my compatibilities all worked out. I’ve got stability (really… I do).  There are times though where I like having linux around to geek out with. Heck, all my servers run Ubuntu, Debian, or Red Hat. A computer I’m setting up as a kiosk is running linux. It is after all… a pretty solid system. I should probably point out though, that I also don’t consider myself 100% windows either… Ironically, the ratios may be close to what market share actually is… I’m like 80% Windows, 15% Mac, and 5% linux. Funny how that all works out.

So now the multimedia.

Steven shared this with me this evening via aim… And now, I share it with you (It’s probably really old, you’ve probably seen it, but I share it non the less).
