Today was back-to-work day for many of my friends and clients.
My phone ringing at 6:30AM was the first sign it was going to be a busy day. Instead of diving into it with my ‘not-again’ attitude, I decided to try to meet the challenges the day would bring head-on. For the most part it worked out rather well. I had less email in my inbox at the end of the day than I did at the start. I even got a project of my own online. All in all, I think I would have a very good week if everyday went like today.
After work, I had a pleasant steak and mash meal with Amber. We talked about our days and proceeded to unwind. Amber played mahjong on my iPad while watching tv, while I started to work on my next mini-project of cleaning Amber’s laptop. I got pretty far, making sure everything was backed up, as well as optimized. Hopefully that will help with my next mini project.
I wonder what tomorrow will bring.
