My cousins have left, so what does this mean for JJ? It’s story telling time…
Let’s start back with Friday and work our way forward, that way we know nothing got missed. Friday was Nikki‘s Christmas party. A modest group were we, but we know how to have fun. First, we tried to hook Mel up with one of Nikki‘s brothers.. My vote is for Kyle, Nik already turned her down, and while.. Mikey has a bad name from the POV of Mel.
Amber got Nikki this really cool Troll making kit. The girls had some fun building trolls while Jon and I passed a big yellow monster truck that Amber got me back and forth. I also got a few other things such as a Rubix cubea book, and two DVD’s that have memories attached to them. Amber also got a movie from Nikki Nikki also got a mystery gift, which as far as I know, she hasn’t opened yet, and a cd full of other memories as well. I have one more gift for a few people yet, but it’s waiting on the shutdown of another website… go figure.
After the gift exchange it was time to play some weird beeping noise making game. It went beep. I passed it. It went beep some more. It got passed some more. Laughs were told. Kyle insulted Nikki. I helped him :-). We all had fun I think :-). I even got to jam on some video games with Nikki‘s brothers. All very cool… Now, if only the people at Go FISH could have joined us…
After I left the party and took Mel home, I arrived back at my house to see my cousins from North Dakota had arrived. We shot some pool and played some Duck Hunt then went off to bed. It was probably 1:30am before I got to bed, which I was used to, but the little guy wasn’t. The next morning, he was up at 8. Not a good thing when you have the excitement of CHRISTmas coming 10 hours later. He made it through the day like a real trooper, playing video games and all that fun stuff as well.
Christmas came, and so did the family. I think I posted about this yesterday, so I won’t go into it too heavily. I would like to mention something about traditions… Christmas at our house for my Mom’s side of the family has been a tradition since long before I can remember. We do it every year, and its something we all look forward to as the one time we are all together during the year. As far as I know, everyone likes everyone else in our family, there isn’t any of that evil aunt or uncle or something, so I am lacking stories in that field :-). But, traditions are ridden through this thing. For example, 5 years ago, my older cousin had my name. He had bought me my first Doughboy keychain because I had been asking for Doughboy stuff that year. The thing was, he put this small item, in a box, in a box, in a box, in a box of boxes, in a box of peanuts. I should probably mentioned, these boxes were wrapped in packaging tape as well. Well, let’s just say it took me about 30 minutes to get to the present, a laugh every step along the way :-). well, the next year, I got his name.. legally, and reversed it on him. The year after, I drew my own name first, kept it, and traded myself off later for him. It worked well, but I got accused of breaking the rules by keeping my own name. The last two years, I have been able to trade for his through other, legal, means… But either way, for the last 4 years, I have had his name and I have wrapped his presents, in boxes, of boxes, of boxes, of Duct Tape. He enjoyes it, and we all get laughs of him trying to open it. If I get a chance, I’ll dub the tape to the internet for you guys to watch this slow process.
He claimed that next year, its time for revenge… I’m waittttinnnnngggg… 🙂 I see welding in his future…
After that, we enjoyed our new gifts… Mainly my cousin’s new Mario Party game, and just enjoyed each others company… Lots of fun.. Lots of mini stories I could tell.. but don’t worry.. be happy
So then I rested. I slept. I slowed down. It felt good to slow down a little after the last 48 hours. Church came early in the morning, and I went with my family, hoping to maybe run into one of friends from Church, but they all must have been still sleeping… We all then went back home and got my Cousins ready to leave. However, their car battery was found dead because one of them left an interior light on. So it had to charge an hour while we ate and enjoyed the last moments of company together.
They soon left, and here I am now… There is one other thing I thought I should mention here… MSA got some new Laptops on Thursday as well. They are pretty cool Dells. Something cool to do over break.
Oh, I should also mention finals. They suck. They really suck. However, that is all I have to say on that issue.
Hmm… Am I forgetting anything? Hmmm.. I had an idea for something to add to this site… An online Rubix-Cube. Something fun to program, something fun to play with, something very very distracting to solve if you don’t know how.
I leave for Nebraska tomorrow for what looks to be a 6 day trip. Fun stuff. More family, more free time… lots of cool stuff. Can you tell I am running out of words in the English Language? Maybe I just don’t want to be writing here anymore… Hmm what to do about that..
