Why we should all switch to military, GMT time.
November 10th, 2008
I’m sick of the current method for time.
Let’s think about it for a moment… Starting with the stupidity of the 12 hour system. The 12 hour system is nice in the sense it’s easy to count, but they really screwed up it’s implementation. Think about it… the number 12 acts as 0 as opposed to 12… So when your counting AM and PM, what should be PM is on the wrong end of the clock (12 PM is noon, 12 AM is midnight).
And then let’s throw in time zones… Ok, novell idea to keep people in the world believing certain times should be daylight, and certain times should be night… But most humans I would think would adapt to 8:00AM being at night, if that’s what all the clocks showed… Heck, it doesn’t take me long to adapt my ability to read a clock that is off by 3 hours and 21 minutes…
So that said… I am now of the firm belief that everyone should switch to a 24:00 hour clock (military time) and it should all revolve around GMT (or some other fixed location). That way when I say: 18:00 hours, and you live in Australia, you know exactly what time I’m talking about without having to adjust for time zone, daylight savings time, or any other stupid thing that might be getting in the way.
It would also make my life easier as a computer programmer… Because I wouldn’t have to worry about what timezone is displaying to the user.
End rant.
The night before
August 8th, 2008
Right now I am laying in bed with my iPhone.
The rehersal dinner went really well. Lots of good food. I was hoping we would get to take some home, but alas green mill didn’t allow it, which as stupid. We paid for it.
My computers are now at the townhouse. From here on out, that’s what we will call home. After all, home is where the computer is. Right?
My laptop is with me. Thanks to my great timing, it seems my hard drive had decided to quit. Perhaps I really won’t bring a laptop on the honeymoon.
Well, I best get some sleep. Goodnight bachelor blog,
So I did it anyway

I got an iphone. Need I say more?
It’s Raining!
April 4th, 2008
Spring must be here… And I would like to document this historic moment.
It’s raining.
It’s pouring.
The old man is snoring.
haha
That is all for my weather report.
After Christmas Music
January 23rd, 2008
Another strange thing that I noticed this year, that I never really noticed prior to this year (just because I didn’t care to pay any attention to it) was that the Christmas music didn’t stop immediately after Christmas.
In fact, I was still hearing Christmas music on Sirius Satellite radio Channel 2 until I believe January 1st. (I might be wrong because Channel 2 is not one of the my presents, it’s just one that I randomly hit sometimes because of the way my buttons are laid out on my steering wheel.)
So this is one of those posts where again I’m looking for comments from the audience… When should the Christmas music stop? If it shouldn’t stop, why is there no Sirius Satellite Radio station dedicated to year round Christmas music (heck, they gave Howard Stern 2 stations). Why is it that people only want to hear this type of music around the holiday season? What about this time of year makes the music sound better than other times of year? AND, most importantly, what exactly does it take to create a Christmas song that people listen to EVERY YEAR? (Like what genius managed to create crazy songs like Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Rednose Reindeer?). Perhaps I should go spend some time on Wikipedia and figure all this stuff out (or at least what the general public believes)
All Good Actors Go Through Star Trek
January 11th, 2008
I swear, just about every legit actor has gone through an episode of Star Trek… Mostly as aliens or random crewman.
For example, I think I have discovered why I like Kirsten Dunst so much… Her real name is Hedril!
Ok… That is all… I have something else I want to post about… but I’m tired, I think I’m done for the day.
