Overall Good

November 30th, 2003

So this weekend, despite some of it’s more interesting moments, has been rather good. Let’s just sum up today.
Woke up this morning feeling insanely relaxed. I added a blanket to my bed on friday night, and I must say, now when I wake up in the morning, I’m at just the right temp. It’s warm, cofortable… It makes me wonder why I ever get out of bed. But I did manage to get out this morning and make it to church half asleep (or is it half awake).
Church was ok. New sermon series on something. I forgot what it was already, I wanna say walking the path, but I’m probably wrong. It’s Christmas season, so I’m sure that most of them will be tied in some way. I hope Christmas isn’t something that brings us all down, but lifts us all up as we celebrate the birth of our Christ. You can give me all this information telling me that Christmas is based in a pagan holiday that Christianity merged with and such, and that’s probably true.. But what it represents today is what matters. There’s my speal on that. Love, Family, Happiness… Not Gifts, Full-Contact shopping, and advertisements.
Spent the afternoon with Amber at the Roseville Center or whatever they call it. It’s a mall. That’s all that matters. I hadn’t been there since awhile ago. Probably sometime with Beth or Nikki or something to DDR. It’s not a bad mall and we had a good time wandering and looking at stuff. Amber got a jacket and I got stuff with food at Ruby Tuesday’s. That was a good meal.
We then went home and here I am. Sitting here updating… I need to work on Physics and Math now, so I’ll let you all go. Odds of me actually getting to the math: Slim. Annoying fact: PK has my calculator…. ERG right?
I do wonder if Nikki is doing ok. I set her up last night for interesting things. She left a reply on my computer that implied one of two things… Neither of which am I doubting at this point :-). She wasn’t at church again this weekend, which of course just makes me wonder as well.
Ok, well I’m going to go now, this time for real. Bye Bye post… MOO.

A Long Winter’s Nap

November 29th, 2003

So I managed to wake myself up at 5:10am this morning and instead of going back to bed (which I will still do here shortly), I went on a quest to find some software. Some of you may have fond memories of this game at Recess with me. It would be known only as: “The Secret Island of Dr. Quandary”. Now of course, this game is old school. The version I found doesn’t look like it includes the sound or fancy graphics, which is kind of annoying. But it is playable. Very playable.
Upon realizing that there might be a better version out there, I went on a hunt to find MECC, the famous educational software company that brought you Number Munchers and Oregon Trail. Briefly there after, I remember thinking that I hadn’t seen a software title published under there name since Oregon Trail 2. Then the trouble began. I found information that said MECC went public under ticker symbol MEKK in 1991. So I looked up the ticker symbol… Nothing. I found a page that said Mecc’s homepage was Mecc.com… Nothing. All the sites that sell Mecc Software end up giving me nothing. Something about the Mecc name is telling me it got bought out by someone… I just don’t know who.
My guess would be whatever company owns Mavis. They would seem to be the leading competitor to MECC. What are they called? The learning company? Maybe I should do some research on them when I wake back up. Until then, I will keep you informed.
Oh and yes, I did find a copy of the game… Now’s your chance to beat it!

Do Better

November 28th, 2003

It’s been a rough afternoon, but just to let everyone who cares, and even those who don’t, know, I’m doing better.
With reguards to the phone bill that was excessive for any house, it has been taken care of and we do not owe any large amount of cash to said phone company. This is to their own credit, otherwise I would have slandered them to no end (not that they care). So that’s good news.
Amber and I are having one of our rough moments. That’s ok too though. From time to time some things need to get ironed out so that things can go the distance. I know I’m being overly generaly, but that’s because I believe to some degree, when it comes to my relationships, I should keep a low profile. I don’t want to target people here and then have to deal with it later, or defend myself from the masses for something stupidly written.
I watched a show for the first time tonight. Something called Degrassi. It’s supposed to be some kind of show similiar in nature to Boy Meets world, but with a wider range of characters and more real to life scenarios. I don’t know if I agree with either of them, but the show somehow managed to make me sick. To much stupid real life than I care to handle at once. I think I’m going to escape now and do something I don’t normally do… I just don’t know what that is yet.
Night posters.

Football and Phones

November 28th, 2003

Nebraska won. That’s good.
Got a phone bill for 100 dollars + because of a long distance phone call I wasn’t supposed to be able to place in the first place. MCI and Qwest are now getting thier respective phone calls. Needless to say, the phone call issue now has a bunch of us mad.

A Quick Post

November 27th, 2003

Let’s give a quick status update on life.
Doyle’s Thanksgiving Party was lots of fun. Great time till 11pm.
Ordered 280 metal DDR Pad. Yes Alex, you will at some point get a chance to play on it.
I Love Amber
SMRC Redesign is coming along nicely. I would show you where you can view it, but that takes too much effort.
Partner’s in mission colors are violet and red-orange. They just happen to be 2 of the 4 colors in my crayon box. Go figure.
I love Amber.
Goodnight.
