Ok, someone needs to fire Flip. Apparently, the guys an idiot.

In game 5, the lakers came back with a minute left to get the game within 2. They did this by using the foul and shoot technique. It works everytime. Every dang time. What didn’t Flip do? This technique.

Ok, so he half-assed it.

We didn’t even try with 2 seconds left on the clock. Are we just that slow?

And why the hell did Garnet take the 6th foul. Why wasn’t someone else down there to take it? Was Garnet the only one still playing with 45 seconds left?

God. Fire Flip, we’ll never win with him, either that, or have him ejected for the 4th quarter, because he obviously has no 4th quarter strategy.

Ok, got that off my chest. The server is good to go even more so then it was yesterday. We have an IRC with nickserv and everything. Cool huh?

I’m thinking about starting a new email policy involving the requirement of being on my whitelist. We’ll see if I do that.

So for those of you who didn’t know, today is the actual Memorial day. Tomorrow is the observed day, but today is Memorial day. Don’t believe me? check your calendars. Just thought I’d share that tidbit of knowledge.

Well it would seem that the server is go. ArtAttack has been moved with much success.Certain sites on JR Corps will be moving shortly as well, followed only by some business sites that need new contracts and such.

In way of racing today. Indy was boring and got for the most part, rained out. The Coke 600 was a little better. We managed to race all 600 miles, and my 2nd favorite drive did manage to lead 500 miles of the entire race, including the one that counts, the last one. He dominated so much, it almost was boring to watch. On the other hand, my other driver, Jeff Gordan, managed 30th. Not good at all at the track that Gordan normally takes first at. He didn’t even really have any serious problem, just got off to a horrible start.

I think I should end my poker carreer. Needless to say, I don’t win online, and I don’t think I ever will. Honestly, I think the only people that do are the folks that own the site. Probably very true. It is fun though. But you know what else is fun as well? Ultima Online. It’s a good game, and must less expensive than poker. In fact, if played right, Ultima can make you money. Perhaps I will get back into that.

I played a little bit of it tonight. I ran around with a fireworks wand, shoot off charges and yelling Happy New Year. I think people thought I was crazy. To bad it wasn’t like Fel and random people could kill me. Maybe tomorrow that’s what I’ll do, run around Fel.

I might also work on my book tonight. Amber will be calling soon, so probably not, but maybe.

Oh, you know what I should do. I should install that IRC server and see if I can get it to work. That would be cool. JR Corps having their own IRC server. Very cool indeedy.

I don’t talk much about important things. I just post. You ever notice that?

So that’s all I have to say about that.

If you want to know what I did with my day: nothing but lose money. That’s all I do now. I’m a friggen addict. I should go back to UO. I at least made money there.

Today was good, but now I’m crashing.

See I was all excited and happy earlier today. I even had chipotle. Life was exciting. Life was good. A hard drive was coming and I was so excited about it.

Of course, I didn’t know that I had ordered the wrong hard drive.

That set me back something in the area of 30 dollars with shipping costs. I don’t think I’m going go order one. I think I’m going to find another solution. I don’t know what that solution is just yet, but I’m going to find one.

Maybe I’ll just wait till I pay of this server, and then worry about ordering a hard drive (because the one I needed cost’s about 100 more than the one I wanted).

Other than that, well. There isn’t anything other than that.

I just finished watching A Beautiful Mind and I seem to be feeling rather awkward. Many people have now see this happen to me. After watching certain movies, or doing certain things, my mind goes into a state of replication. It’s a very strange feeling, and at times a very painful one.

It’s an ability to grab hold onto something that isn’t there, and feel it. Much like the Dr. Nash’s problem. I don’t think I’m crazy in the clinical sense, but there is surely a need of attachment for me.

Take for example movies like Notting Hill. I love that movie. I just love it, but if you stop it somewhere in the middle, I’ll be strangly depressed the rest of the day. I’ll be trapped in that mood, that feeling. Same with TV shows, IE: BMW. It’s not good to let me watch the "Lauren Episodes" because it only leads to me being trapped inside such a stupid mistake. I don’t like the feeling of being trapped inside my own mind.

I’m not sure what it triggers from either, because it doesn’t happen 100% of the time. Take for example this last weekend. While in Nebraska, I managed to attach my voice to my cousin’s. From time to time over the next week, I will sound like my cousin. I believe the situation is related. My mind wants to adapt and conquer. It wants to be everything around it.

If you don’t believe me, just take a look at who I am on a daily basis. I use words like ye and aye, words I picked up in Ultima Online. I think logically most of the time, something I’ve picked up from programming and my computer. Everything I know about love either comes from Boy Meets World or my relationship with Amber. Quite honestly, I am my enviroment..

There you go science, someone who is truly adaptive and shows that a good number of human traits are surely enviromental and not genetic.

Interesting side note: want to see me stupid, put me with stupid people.

I would include a story about how this mind trap can get me in trouble, but I fear that I have already walked into this mind trap a little further than I had intended. Needless to say, the movie had an affect on me.

Amber and Nikki get back tonight. I have to pick them up at 11:30 which means little to no sleep for Justin tonight. YAY. At least I get to see my sweety. Boy am I really starting to miss her, and at the same time, getting excited to see her again. Like the expression goes, you never really realize how much you miss it till it’s gone.

I don’t think I made a report on Nascar for awhile so I’ll just state this, the car’s are basically on a two week vacation. They raced last saturday for money, not points, so I didn’t pay to much attention. Sounds like they all had a good time though.

As far as the server goes, it’s coming along nicely. I got Blaine set up with an account so he can hopefully start setting stuff up. Hopefully, that goes well for him. I still have some permissions things to work out with the server, and I will in good time. I ordered a new hard drive for it today, hopefully so I can get some backups going, as well as sent out the contract for a few revisions. Hopefully we’ll get that signed by Wednesday and get a move-in date scheduled for next week.

I better allocate this sunday or monday for time spent with the server.

Wow, I won’t be working to many more hours for the next few weeks. This week I’ll get something along the lines of 32 hours, next week it drops down to what looks to be something like 16 (possibily 24) which brings me basically to where I’m at during a normally school period. You’d think I’d be making a large sum more than I was during school, but really, when school stops, other stuff starts.

Other than that I don’t have much more to say today. I think I’m having way to much fun lately writing long pointless posts. Posts that only the bored would read. Perhaps I should do something about that.

Ok, so really the title of this post makes no sense what-so-ever. That is however perfectly all right, for this site never made either sense, or cents.

At present, I am listening to John Coltrane’s version of My Favorite Things. You know, that piece from the Sound of Music. Yep, it’s playing on my mp3 player at this moment as I write this post before heading to bed.

Let’s start by saying I’m home. I’m back to the good old midwest *(did I ever leave?) The tornados couldn’t stop me. The trains didn’t get in my way. The bride’s train didn’t even start on fire. What a great end to a great weekend. Am I making any sense?

Ok, so while I was gone I managed to write what is a good baseline for the first chapter of my book. I ran into a problem after that chapter though. I ran out of plot. See I knew how the book started, but not where to take the character. Luckily my cousin helped me find a theme I can work with.

The theme involves something we know and love in computer science, but that too is all I can say for fear of someone beating me to writing the book.

Currently the book is about a guy named Stan. That’s all you really need to know at this point. The style is similiar but not exactly like Douglas Adam’s, and, according to my preferred English Major, it has quite a few grammarical errors if it were to be a non-fiction piece of work. Luckily he says, my style flows, and in fiction, that’s all that matters.

I would post what I have for a first chapter, but I think it needs to be about 2 pages longer. Maybe a little more about a couch. Maybe a little more about the spacecraft. Maybe a little more about the book. Who knows. All I know is that Stan is now on his way to "Even-Odds", a bar in England.

For those of you who don’t know, shattered cubed opened recently. I wasn’t going to say that until we moved them to the new server, but I did anyway in hopes that we can get Sir Sim to start updating. I don’t really know if he ever will, but it would be nice if he would. That way when I get back from trips like this, I can figure out if he had planned on car-pooling tomorrow, or not. In other words, he’s at a movie, and I don’t know if I’m supposed to pick him up.

Amber is still in California. I miss her. I think I said this already, but, she gave me this really cute photo albums that reminded me of all the good time’s we’ve had, and, after being at a happy wedding all weekend, has made me want to only have more happy times with her. It’s amazing how many memory’s we’ve shared and how happy we’ve looked in them. Life without Amber is just about impossible to imagine.

They get back tomorrow night (if all goes according to plan). They’ll probably come back with sunburns and 1 more bag then they left with. Who knows. I didn’t get to talk to Amber today (nor Nikki) so I don’t know what is really going on. All I know is that I need to pick them up at the Airport tomorrow night. Late tomorrow night.

I started playing a video game today. I love it when I start a new video game. I still have 70 missions left to beat in Final Fantasy Tactics, but I’ll save those for when I’m bored because for the most part, they just require unlocking. In otherwords: as far as I know, I’m out of story in that game.

As for the game that I’m playing now, it’s all story. I started playing Sword of Mana which as far as I can tell, is somewhere between FFA and SOM. I would have to play both of them again to figure out which one it’s more closely related too, but needless to say, it reminds me of FFA. With the whole battle arena and all. Of course, it’s much much prettier.

In other gaming news: T-Wolves won. I didn’t even know they were playing till John called me up tonight. The series is now tied at 1-1 and we’re on our way to California. For those of you who want to know what the big deal about tonights game was: It means we get to play at least 1 more game this season. Everytime we lose, it basically means that the Laker’s get to play at least one more game. See how that works? Sometimes, if you win, you get to play 4 more games. Cool huh? That’s b-ball for ya.

I need to get my hard pad up to MSA one of these days. Hmm, when to do that.

Need to sign this contract too. When to do that…

Server is getting closer and closer to completion… This list of remaining things to do (some of these are rather big, some are not):

Install FTP (actually, configure FTP might be a better way of saying this)
Fix permission settings (some of the emails don’t work upon first creation)
Set some users up for some people
Install AWStats
Move Server to new location
Cry when something breaksI must say I’ve learned way more than I expected. I thought I knew a lot about apache from MSA. I thought I knew alot about DNS from MSA and JR Corps. I thought I knew email. Boy was I wrong. But at least now I can say that I know all of them, and much better than I did before.
