ISO Images

So today of course was another day of work. This time at MSA. I don’t think I posted last night, so I will talk about that as well. Yesterday we rack mounted the new Teacher Server over there. Wasn’t to hard, but the rails that come with it aren’t the best in the world to install. They really should have some sort of latch with them. Oh well.

Today, Dan and I met up to start setting up the server. Win2k3 installs pretty easily, and I must admit, so far has been one of the easiest server installs I’ve ever done. The exchange stuff, although confusing at first, integrated seemlessly with Active Directory. The only thing during setup that gave me any trouble at all was Virus Scan… The weird part is, every since I install the Virus Scan, the server wouldn’t shut down…. Hmm..

I’m not sure if I like the virus scan software anyway. It seems to be running on top of Windows, but not quite as fully as it needs to be. Hmm. Don’t know. I’ll take a closer look at it tomorrow.

The rest of the server setup didn’t seem to be a problem at all. The only other thing that is giving us any trouble is the making of ISO images of the disks. I did end up finding a program that would do it, but for some reason, it won’t make ISOs bootable. Erg.. that’s all I have to say about that. I’ll try to come up with a better system plan later.

As for now, I’m going out to dinner with my hunny and Nikki. Don’t know why we are going out to Inver Grove for Pizza, don’t know what we will do after that, but for now, it’s something fun to do on a friday night. I think I will call John.

Later all.
